Andrea L. Hart (she/her) is a writer, director, performer and educator whose work ranges from large, sprawling devised pieces to one-woman shows and everything in between. Her work has been supported by grants from Puffin Foundation West, Theater Bay Area, Venturous Theater Fund and has been developed and performed at Hyde Park Theatre, UT Austin, #AmericanAF Festival, Great Plains Theatre Conference, the MacDowell Colony, CounterPulse, 6NewPlays and companies in and around San Francisco. She recently completed an MFA at UT Austin where she wrote and directed a workshop of “Murky as Hell,” co-directed a remotely-filmed version of “sad women being sad” by Jenny Krick, and directed “Wyeth Airlines” by Lena Barnard. She devises and directs site-specific, immersive, and experiential theatre, including “Recipe for Action” with experimental musicians, “Ownerless Beasts” a geo-triggered audio journey, and “Unrest” with Ochlos Theatre Lab. She is passionate about new play development and has worked with Hyde Park Theatre, the Out of Ink Festival, Trinity Street Players, and Great Plains Theatre Conference.
